Dogs in Costume Gather at Franklin Dog for the

A celebration of Fall and of the amazing bond humans share with dogs, while also raising funds and awareness about dog rescue and rehabilitation.

October 24, 2015, Franklin, TN. Beau’s Wish, a local non-profit dog rescue, is hosting its first annual Dogtoberfest event on Saturday, October 24th at Franklin Dog boarding facility, located at 300 Eddy Lane in Franklin between Murfreesboro Road and Liberty Pike. Activities run from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. and admission is free, but some activities require a small donation. Attendees can enter their dog in a doggie costume contest, participate in a canine cake-walk, shop for fun dog-related items, consult with pet professionals, and have their dog’s photo taken in front of a colorful Fall scene of hay bales, pumpkins and seasonal decor. The prize basket for the winner of the costume contest includes a lot of cool dog-related merchandise and discount coupons from local businesses. So if you’re looking for a howling good time, load up the dogs and head over to Franklin Dog! (four-legged party-goers must be on leashes)

As of today, participating vendors include:

  • Three Dog Bakery – providing natural dog treats baked from scratch.

  • Nashville Dog Adventures – offering exciting outdoor activity sessions for your dog.

  • Tonia Floyd, Certified Professional Trainer, Training Spot – giving training consultations for behavior questions.
