Beau’s Story

Beau came into our lives at the age of 10 months. His original owners kept him in the backyard 24/7; he was never allowed inside the house. Turns out Beau wasn’t a very good hunting companion so his owners gave him up. Their loss was our gain! From that point forward, Beau went with us just about everywhere we went. When he wasn’t able to go with us, he was anxiously waiting for our return, his sweet yellow face always visible through the window when we drove up. Beau loved going for rides in the car, playing with his food-cube toy, chasing bunnies and accompanying his mom to work on occasion. And very typical of a Labrador Retriever, Beau never turned down a chance to eat! His big personality and sense of humor brought laughter and happiness not only to his family, but to everyone who met him.

Beau was our best friend for 12 1/2 years. He took care of us just as much as we took care of him. He made us laugh, protected us, and was a loyal member of our family before passing away in 2014. Beau will always have a special place in our hearts, and his spirit will live on through the lives his charity touches.
